(announced Sept. 29, 2003) Republican nominee for Governor in 2002.  Served two terms in the Maine House of Representatives, representing South Portland and Cape Elizabeth; did not seek re-election in 2000.  In 1992 left Dragon Products and started his own business, Cianchette Enterprises, Inc., which owned and operated Initial Staffing Services, an employee staffing, recruiting and placement company; sold the company after five years..Senior executive at the Dragon Products Company, a leading supplier of cement and concrete and one of Maine’s top manufacturing companies.  Graduate of University of Maine, with a degree in Business Administration and Finance.

-Bush-Cheney '04 Maine Veterans State Chairman: State Representative Ted Heidrich (U.S. Marine Corps, Ret.) (R, House District 64[Oxford]).  Heidrich served from 1951- 1953 in the Korean War.  He then owned and operated a small business in New York.  He is serving his third term in the Maine House of Reprentatives. -Jane Amero is the Bush-Cheney '04 Maine Educators for Bush steering committee chair.  She served as a state senator for eight years, including four years as the Republican leader.  She was a Republican congressional candidate for Maine's First Congressional District in 2000 and chaired the state board of education from 1989 to 1992.
