of Aurora Capital Group, LP, a Los Angeles-based investment firm.
Senior partner of the Los Angeles law firm of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher,
1977-92. Parsky served as Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Treasury
for international affairs and capital markets, 1974-77. He was appointed
to the U.C. Board of Regents by Gov. Pete Wilson in 1996; the Board named
him chair for a two-year term on May 20, 2004. Parsky was also a
member of President Bush’s Commission to Strengthen Social Security.
